Kakapo are quirky, critically endangered, nocturnal, ground-dwelling parrots. They have an unusual ‘lek’ courtship display characterised by booming males – triggered in the south by the fruiting of rimu trees. Along with the fruits of rimu trees, kakapo feed on seeds, leaves and fruits of other podocarps.

For your Bang’n kakapo you have the choice of traditional, koru, or rimu fruit inlay.

Your Bang’n kakapo is designed and made in New Zealand. Constructed from weathering steel, your kakapo will weather naturally, and settle into your landscape over time – forming a beautiful rusty patina.
